Seventy-two calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department on Wednesday. Some of the calls include:
1:53 AM, An officer conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Washington and 36 Hwy for a lane violation. During the stop the officer suspected a crime was being committed. K9 Enoch was called to the scene and alerted to the odor of narcotics/drugs in the vehicle. A search was conducted and a green tin with a tan crystal substance was located and the contents field tested positive for meth. The 44-year-old man from Illinois was transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center.
10:00 AM, Officers were informed about a juvenile being threatened via social media. Investigation continues.
4:57 PM, Officers responded to Walnut and Clay Street for a two-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle and SUV. The driver of the motorcycle was transported by EMS to Hedrick Medical Center with moderate injuries and the driver of the SUV was cited for failing to yield.
Officers also conducted several traffic stops, business checks, vehicle checks, and followed up with numerous investigations.
