Just after 10:30 PM Friday, the Chillicothe Fire Department was dispatched to 1721 Boyd Street for a bathroom fire. Engine 1 and Ladder 1 arrived with 6 total personnel, upon arrival law enforcement was on scene. The front door was open with smoke coming out of it. Upon doing a 360, it was discovered that the fire was contained to one room in the house. Personnel went into the structure with a water extinguisher and put the fire out. A ventilation fan was set at the front door to move smoke out of the structure. After the smoke was cleared, Fire Personnel went back in service. Fire Department was on scene for 37 minutes.
