Highway Patrol Crash & Arrest Reports

The Missouri Highway Patrol handled several accidents and arrests around the region this past weekend.  in the area counties.  In the local counties that included:

Two crashes over the weekend in the area counties left three with minor injuries.

Saturday at about 12:30 pm in Livingston County, a single-vehicle crash left 22-year-old Rebecca Cox of Chillicothe injured.  State Troopers report Cox was northbound on LIV 230 and ran off the east side of the road and her car overturned. Cox was not wearing a safety belt and was taken to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment.

At about 9:50 pm Saturday, a single-vehicle crash on US 36 at Brookfield left the driver and a passenger with minor injuries.  State Troopers report 69-year-old Mark Wilson was westbound on US 36 and swerved to avoid a deer, running off the road and striking an embankment.  Wilson and his passenger, 67-year-old Beth Wilson, were taken to Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield for treatment.  They were wearing safety belts.

 

Troopers in the area counties report two weekend arrests.

Saturday at about 8:20 am, Troopers in Chariton County arrested 18-year-old Thomas Horn of Richmond for alleged DWI – persistent offender and Driving While Revoked – persistent offender.  He was held at the Randolph County Jail.

Sunday at about 7:23 am, Troopers in Livingston County arrested 21-year-old Grant W. Mellon of Polo for alleged DWI, Speeding, and No Insurance.  He was processed and released.
