Chillicothe Firefighters responded to two recent vehicle fires

Thursday, an excavator fire was reported at 147 Stewart Avenue in Chillicothe.  The call came in at about 1:40 pm and the fire crew arrived in two minutes to find the excavator on fire.  About 1,000 gallons of water and foam were used to put out the fire that started when a hydraulic line burst.  The fire crew was on the scene for about 53 minutes.

Sunday, a motorcycle fire was reported at 1416 Polk Street.  The call came in at about 11:15 am and the fire crew arrived in five minutes.  About 350 gallons of water was used to extinguish the fire.  They were on the scene for about 14 minutes.
