An attempt to serve papers at a home in Chillicothe resulted in two arrests and three children removed from the home. The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department attempted paper service Thursday in the 700 block of Vine Street and observed “concerning” living conditions in the home.
Friday, deputies, along with Chillicothe Police and the Highway Patrol, served a search warrant at the location due to various disturbing safety hazards.
They removed three children from the home as a result of their investigation.
Deputies report 34-year-old Curtis Burton and 34-year-old Misty Miller of Chillicothe were arrested and placed in the Caldwell County Detention Center. They have since been charged with alleged Endangering the Welfare of a Child Creating Substantial Risk in the First Degree First Offense No Sexual Contact. Both are held with bond set at $2500 cash only.
