The Hutchison Addition Stormwater Project bids came in over budget. City Administrator Roze Frampton says the city council reviewed the bids received.
Over budget about $300,000. The bid from M&M Utilities was approved for $812,296.
Frampton says the additional funding will come from the street Department. She says this will not affect budgeted street projects.
Funding is from the Street Department reserves.
The total project cost is now $1,031,000 dollars, including construction and engineering.
The council vote to approve the bid was 4/0, with 2nd Ward Councilman Weston Baker abstaining.
