State Troopers in the area counties handled two crashes Tuesday.
A two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning left one driver with minor injuries. State Troopers report the crash occurred on Highway 6 in Altamont at about 8:55 am, as a 52-year-old Plant City, Florida man was eastbound and slowed to make a left turn. Eighteen-year-old Abigail Ethington of Cameron was also eastbound and ran into the rear of the other vehicle. Ethington was not wearing a safety belt and had minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
A Bucklin man crashed on US 36 in Macon County Tuesday afternoon after suffering a condition. State Troopers report 60-year-old Stephen W. Bright of Bucklin was westbound on US 36 when he suffered the medical issue. His car ran off the roadway and struck a guardrail. He was taken to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of the medical condition.
