Missouri Jobs Report For July

The State’s Jobs report for July shows non-farm payroll decreased by 22,400 jobs, private industry payroll decreased by 13,000 jobs, and government employment decreased by 9,400 jobs.

Missouri’s smoothed seasonally adjusted unemployment rate increased 1/10 of a percentage point, from 3.7% in June 2024 to 3.8% in July 2024.  That is also up from 3.1% in June of 2023.

The monthly unemployment report with a breakdown by county will be released on August 23rd.
