Chillicothe R-II Lease Purchase Agreement Approved By School Board

A lease purchase agreement of $1.2 million dollars for the Chillicothe R-II School District was approved by the School Board.  Superintendent Dr Dan Wiebers says there is a long list of items the funds will be used for within the district, including at the new elementary school.

And for projects.  There are foundations pledging funds to help with several items.

The list of projects includes, but is not limited to…

Technology, playground concrete, dumpster enclosures, bus radios, waterheater, and control systems for HVAC.

Wiebers says foundation funds may not be available now for some of the work already completed at CES or in the district, but the contractors need to be paid, and the lease purchase will cover those payments until the funds are received.

He says the lease-purchase agreement is for a 10-year period.
