The University of Missouri Extension Division of Fire and Rescue Training Institute, Trenton Fire Department, and Grundy County Rural Fire Protection District will host a three-day Rope Rescue: Awareness/Operations class in early October. The program will take place at the Trenton Fire Department from October 1 through October 3. The organizations are working together to host the in-person event, which will run from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm each day.
Participants will include individuals who are new to technical rescue or those preparing for the State of Missouri Awareness/Operations certification exam.
The program includes discussion, development, and application of essential skills in technical search and rescue.
Participants will need to complete four weeks of self-paced online coursework starting in early September and an end-of-course exam.
