Eighty-three calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department on Thursday.
At 930 am, Officers responded to the 600 block of Locust for someone shooting fireworks.
At 1130 am, Officers assisted with a mock fire drill at the Chillicothe Middle School. They also returned to assist with an active intruder drill at 230 pm
At 1033 pm, Officers responded to the 1500 block of Hickory for a domestic assault. Officers arrested one male subject. He was later transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center and placed on a 24 hour hold for Domestic Assault.
In addition, officers conducted traffic stops, business checks, vehicle checks, and followed up with numerous investigations.
