Chevy Gene Hacker, age 9, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri.

 

Chevy was born on June 30, 2015 in Trenton, Missouri. He attended Verelle Peniston School in Chillicothe. He loved books, camping and playing with bubbles. Chevy truly loved Vacation Bible School at Lifepoint Church.  He knew no stranger and had many friends.

 

Chevy is survived by his parents, Steve and Stacy Hacker; three sisters, Alicia (Andy) Hankins of North Kansas City, Missouri, Krista Hacker of Utica, Missouri, and Braelynn Keller of Brookfield, Missouri; four brothers, Steven Hacker, Jr., of Chillicothe, Missouri, Rex Hacker of Boonville, Missouri, Xavier Hacker of Utica, Missouri and Clyde Keller of Brookfield, Missouri; his paternal grandmother, Doreen Hacker; and his maternal grandfather, Robert Bowers; uncles and aunts, Troy Hacker, Craig (Kelly) Hacker, Dennis Hacker, Brandee (Richard) Narancich and Amanda (Jojo) Heistand; as well as numerous cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Millie Bowers; and paternal grandparents, Victor and Susan Hacker.

 

Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, on Monday, August 26, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at Lindley Funeral Home on Monday, August 26, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be at the Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Ronald McDonald House and/or Children’s Mercy Hospital and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, PO Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
