A Purdin man was charged with attempted arson and Aggravated DWI following his arrest by Chillicothe Police. Thirty-two-year-old Johnny L. Collis was arrested by Chillicothe Police Department Thursday night and on Friday was charged with alleged attempted arson and Aggravated DWI. The Probable Cause statement indicates Collis was arrested on Hickory Drive in Chillicothe following a report of a domestic disturbance.
Officers arrived and were told by the resident Collis allegedly tried to set the house on fire while the resident and her children were inside.
Collis was held at the Caldwell County Detention Center and was charged Friday in Livingston County Associate Court. A warrant was issued with no bond allowed on the charges.
