An ordinance defining the school zones in Chillicothe was amended at Monday’s Chillicothe City Council meeting. The amendment removes the school zones around Dewey and Field Schools and ads the School Zone on Choach K Street.
The council also amended the area on Polk Street that is part of a School Zone to include from State Street to Dickinson Street.
In the school zones, the speed limit drops to 20 miles per hour when children are present.
