Colene Louise Davis, age 90, a resident of Clinton, Missouri and former resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024 at Adair Village in Clinton, Missouri with her family by her side.

 

Colene was born the daughter of Froman and Arlie (Nichols) Stamper on January 24, 1934 in Spickard, Missouri.

 

Colene enjoyed cooking, gardening, cross stitch, knitting and yes, shopping. Her baked goods and home cooked meals were enjoyed by her family and many members of the community. Her family and friends looked forward to her delicious Christmas candy every year.

 

Colene is survived by three sons, Dale Gibson (Edna) of Fouke, Arkansas, Terry Gibson (Mary) of Spickard, Missouri and Jim Gibson (Jeanie) of Trenton, Missouri; one daughter, Debbie Markway (Albert) of Clinton, Missouri; nine grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; one great-greatgrandchild; two sisters, Pauline Smith and Linda Sweany; two brothers, Jack Stamper (Marilyn) and Gary Stamper (Debbie). She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale Gibson, husband, Richard “Dick” Davis; two sisters, Dixie Lewis and Betty Consolver; two brothers, Eugene Stamper and Ben Stamper; and one granddaughter, Teresa Gibson.

 

She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

 

Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.  A scheduled visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, September 1, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friends may call at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, August 31, 2024, from 1:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.  Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Chillicothe, Missouri.  Online condolences may be made at www.lindleyfuneralhome.com.
