A new fuel system was commissioned at the Chillicothe Municipal Airport. The 12,000-gallon Automated Fueling System allows pilots to fuel their own planes, 24 hours a day. The system includes a credit card system for payment at the time of purchase.
Airport Director Toby Calivere says this is a nice upgrade to the airport services.
Give us more flexibility.
The new fuel system, including installation cost just over a million dollars. The City of Chillicothe is responsible for $70,000 of the cost, with the remainder covered by State Grant funding.
City and airport staff still have some training before the system will be available to the pilots.
