The Chillicothe High School Marching Hornets will be performing at Disney World in just over a year. Assistant Band Director James Cookinham says they were selected to perform as part of the Parade of Bands for Thanksgiving of 2025. Cookinham explained how their selection came about.
Entered a tape of their Cameron March Fest performance and were chosen by a panel of judges.
The trip will include the Marching Band, Flag Corp, and the Twirlers.
He says the band will need to raise the funds to make the trip.
The expected cost is about $1,900 per student.
Cookinham says some families will pay the cost outright, while others will count on the fundraising efforts of the band.
Selling coffee beans, direct donations, and donations made to the school specifically for the trip
