Fire damaged a house on Rosewood Lane Saturday night. Firefighters received the call at about 9:12 pm to 1608 Rosewood, and arrived in three minutes to find no fire showing. Fire damage was found on the southside of the house. The residents were alerted by the smell of smoke. Firefighters found damaged siding and two v-shaped areas of damage and the homeowner had dumped water on the areas before firefighters arrived.
No fire was found inside the home and fans were used to remove the smoke. Thermal imaging cameras were used to make sure the fire had not spread in the walls. The fire crew was on the scene for about 2 hours 15 minutes.
Following an investigation, the State Fire Marshal determined the fire was accidental.
