Chillicothe City Council Meeting To Include Public Hearing

Chillicothe City Council meets Monday with several appearances and ordinances on the agenda.  The meeting will start at 5:30 pm at City Hall.  A public hearing will be held on the use of the Capital Improvement Sales Tax in the 2025/26 budget.

Appearances include:

Amy Supple introducing Russell Volmert, the Consultant with Fora Planning and Design LLC for a Welcome Sign, and an Ordinance authorizing a Professional Services Agreement with Fora Planning and Design LLC to develop a Welcome Sign for the City.

Annual reports will be presented by Chelsea Corkins with the MU Extension Office,  Mary Lou VanDeventer with the Chillicothe Alts Council, and Teresa Sykes with the Grand River Multipurpose Center.  These will include requests for funds.

Toby Calivere has two items — an ordinance accepting the Highest Responsible Bid for Cash Haying Operations for a One (1) Year Contract on approximately 14 acres, at 1301 Green Street. And an Ordinance accepting the Highest Responsible Bid for Cash Haying Operations for a One (1) Year Contract on approximately 10 acres at Chillicothe Area Industrial Park North along Route V.

Gil Gates will present an ordinance accepting the Lowest Responsible bid for Mowing Services, including Nuisance Properties as directed by the City Code Enforcement Officer.

Gates will present an Ordinance amending City Code for Permit Fees.

He will also present and ordinance accepting and approving the Replat of Mystic Heights Subdivision, an ordinance Rezoning Mystic Heights Subdivision from P-l Public Zone to R-3 to New High Density Multi- Family Residential Zone.

Roze Frampton has an Ordinance authorizing an amendment to the Office Lease with the Home of Sliced Bread Corporation for the Tourism Office.

Allison Jeffries presents an Ordinance authorizing an agreement with J&M Display for Fireworks Display.

A closed executive session is planned for legal and personnel matters.
