On June 15, 1957, Lois married Rodney E. Streets at the United Methodist Church in Alexis, IL.  Together they farmed and built a life and family until Rodney’s unexpected passing.  Lois was a hardworking woman, dedicating her life to tending the land and raising her family.  In 1978, she and her family moved to Dawn, Missouri, where she put down roots and built a life filled with love, hard work, and community.

Lois is survived by her daughter-in-law:  Tracy Streets of Bettendorf, IA; children-Bill Streets of Bradenton, FL, Debra Adrian of Braymer, MO; and Teresa (Mark) Sykes of Dawn, MO.; grandchildren Jennifer Streets, Jackie (Justin) Benningfield, Jarrod (Kimberly) Streets, Haley (Mark) Bowles, Carly Jewell, Kelly (Juliane) Sykes, Lucas Sykes, Alexis (Chadwick) Boyles, and Maresa (Zachary) Meyers; along with 23 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; siblings John (Kathleen) Sharer, Joanie Cornell, and Terri Oberhaus (Ray Dunn).

She was preceded in death by parents, George and Nona Sharer; mother, Audrey Sharer; husband, Rodney E. Streets; her siblings, Judy Brady, Joe Sharer, Curt Sharer; brothers-in-law, Jack Cornell and Marvin Brady; her son, David Streets; and her grandchildren, Mandy Adrian and Scott Adrian.

Lois had a deep love for the simple joys of life.  She took great pride in her flower garden, tending to it with the same care and dedication she showed in all aspects of her life.  She also knew how to enjoy a good moment, never passing up the chance to sip a margarita and share a laugh with family and friends.  And on Sundays in the Fall, you could always find her cheering on her beloved Kansas City Chiefs, never missing a game and always ready to celebrate a win.

Lois will be remembered for her strong work ethic, her love of family, and her ability to find joy in both the hard work of farm life and the simple pleasures along the way.  Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A Graveside Service will be held by Bram Funeral Home on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 10 a.m., at the Highland Cemetery, Hamilton, MO.  The family will congregate at the Jenkins Center in Dawn, MO., for refreshments following the graveside service.
