Chillicothe Police Report For Tuesday

Seventy calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department on Tuesday.  Some of the calls include:

At 12:36 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a wellbeing check in the 800 block of W. Bus. 36 Hwy.

At 1:57 p.m., Officers were responded to a two-vehicle crash in the 600 block of W. Bus. 36 Hwy. One of the drivers was a Chillicothe Police Officer, driving a department vehicle.  The Missouri Highway Patrol was contacted and conducted the crash investigation.  The report from the Highway Patrol states the officer was eastbound on Business 36 and an 87-year-old woman was southbound and failed to yield and struck the patrol car, causing it to run off the road and strike a utility pole.  The officer had minor injuries and was taken to Hedrick Medical Center for Treatment.

At 3:39 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a group of kids possibly causing property damage in the 1200 block of Cooper St. Officers responded and discovered the kids had left the area.  No property damage was found.

At 4:43 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash at US 65 and US 36. Officers contacted the driver, who stated a semi and trailer was occupying too much of the road, so the driver avoided a collision with the truck and left the roadway, colliding with a tree. The vehicle was towed.

At 5:12 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a disturbance in the 1400 block of Alexander St. Officers arrested a 66-year-old woman for trespassing.  She was processed and released pending a court appearance.

Officers assisted the Chillicothe Fire Department with medical calls in the 200 block of N. Washington St. and 300 block of Woodrow Ave.
