Two Teens Injured In Crash With Semi

An accident involving a car and a semi left two teens with serious injuries.  State Troopers report the crash occurred at 7:57 am Tuesday on US 24 in Chariton County.  The report states the semi driven by 59-year-old Larry Fox of Brunswick was westbound on US 24 at Route Y in Brunswick.  A car driven by 39-year-old Joshua Brown of Salisbury was northbound on Route Y.  He failed to yield and pulled into the path of the semi and was struck on the passenger side.

A 14-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl, passengers in Brown’s car, were taken to University Hospital in Columbia,  They were wearing their safety belts.
