City Discusses Medical Marijuana Requirements

With the voters approving the use of Medical Marijuana in November, the City of Chillicothe will soon have to revise or create ordinances to properly handle changes to the state laws.  City Administrator Darin Chappell says there are many areas to be considered.

Chappell says zoning changes and business licenses for dispensaries will be a big part of the work for the city.

Production facilities will require zoning changes.

The state is expected to have their rules, guidelines and ordinances in place in June, and Chillicothe hopes to have much of their work done sometime in August.
