Brunswick Main Street Association has been apart of the State’s Main Street organization since July of 2017 and got their start through a program called the “Show Me The Money Conference.” That year they applied for and received a grant and to help them establish a Main Street Program. Main Street Chillicothe Director Ben White says Brunswick made good use of the opportunity. At this year’s state conference Brunswick Main Street Association received the Outstanding Main Street Affiliate Award.
The Brunswick Main Street Association’s efforts work with their annual Big Spring Clean, attracted a 30% increase in volunteers for the event. That’s an equivalent of $4,700 in volunteer hours to beautify their downtown.
