Coronavirus Relief Funding For Nursing Homes

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded more than $19 million in coronavirus relief funding to 243 nursing homes in Missouri.  Senator Roy Blunt, Chairman of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies says “COVID-19 has taken a devastating toll on nursing home facilities in Missouri and across the nation.  With Missouri preparing to distribute vaccines soon, I’m glad this funding will help keep patients, health care professionals, and staff at nursing homes safe as we get closer to finishing the fight against the pandemic.”

Blunt says with the announcement, Missouri nursing homes have received about $281 million in HHS coronavirus aid.
