A contract with Disney Worldwide was approved by the Chillicothe City Council pending clarification. Tourism Director Amy Supple explained a Disney fan group is having an event in Marceline this weekend and they are using Chillicothe as the host community.
A contract to provide services, including a reception and transportation.
The council approved the ordinance that allows the mayor to sign the necessary contracts.
The event is Friday from 8:00 to 10:00 pm and could include “special guests.”
Group members are arriving today and will be in the community through the weekend.
