Chillicothe Police Chief Jon Maples says that when officers attempted to detain the man, he physically resisted, and a struggle ensued.
Attempted to disarm the officer.
The man continued to resist, ultimately head-butting the officer in the face, causing injury that required medical attention.
Hill was arrested and later booked for alleged resisting arrest, assault on a law enforcement officer, and attempting to disarm a police officer. He was medically cleared and taken to Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail, where he is held with no bond allowed
During the continued investigation, a witness told officers the man was planning on killing a person before officers arrived, and planned a shootout with police when they arrived.
Maples says that with all “use of force” incidents, an administrative review is conducted by the department.
