Washington Street Resurfacing Prep Continues

MoDOT Roadwork Scheduled in the Area

The preparations continue for the resurfacing of Washington Street (US 65) in Chillicothe.

The Missouri Department of Transportation contractors have been working on curb and entrance repairs from Business 36 to Second Street since May 5th.  This week, contractors Capital Paving and Construction, LLC, began the curb and entrance repairs on both sides, from Second Street to Highway 190.  The preparation work is expected to be complete by June 1st.

From June 18th to July 8th, contractors will do nighttime resurfacing, followed by signal detection work from July 18th to the 24th.

During the work,   Washington Street is narrowed to one lane around the construction. Access to city streets and business entrances along Washington may be impacted and may be closed.
