The “2019 – Was Grandpa Right?”, Ranchers and Livestock Producers Rules of Thumb meetings in the local area are later this month. The University of Missouri Extension is provides the programs at no charge and will discuss rules that have been passed down through several generations of livestock producers and ranchers. These gems have come from all over the country and were collected into 6 pages of “Rules of Thumb”.
Bridger Feuz, Livestock Marketing Specialist with University of Wyoming, presents his “Ranchers Rules of Thumb” and the collection of rules he has collected over the past several years.
Hudson Hill, Area Extension Educator with University of Wyoming, will be presenting on Herd and Risk Management Rules that he has studied over the past several years.
Katie Neuner, County Engagement Specialist in Agriculture and Environment, Shawn Deering, Field Specialist in Livestock and Jim Humphrey, Field Specialist in Livestock will be presenting on “Livestock Feeding and Production Challenges” and opportunities following the extreme weather conditions producers have dealt with and moving forward into spring 2019 and beyond.
