Flooding is expected this weekend at Chillicothe and Sumner. The National Weather Service is predicting the Grand River at Sumner will rise above flood stage of 26 feet Sunday morning and continue rise to a crest of about 33 feet late Sunday and continuing into Wednesday.
The Grand River at Chillicothe is expected to rise above flood stage of 24 feet Sunday, with a crest of near 30 feet. Flooding is expected to continue until late Monday night.
This flooding is expected due to forecast rainfall, runoff and snow melt across the area.
