May Report For Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department

The Caldwell County Sheriff’s office filed its report for May.

Among the more serious cases, deputies investigated multiple reports of sexual assault, including two involving juveniles. One took place in the Braymer School District and another in Breckenridge. Both remain under investigation.

An inmate at the county jail was hospitalized after an assault, and another inmate faces charges of assaulting detention officers.

Several arrests were made for outstanding warrants, including charges related to domestic assault, probation violations, and drug offenses. In one case, a man was arrested after two children were found unsupervised and nearly unclothed in Hamilton.

Deputies also responded to domestic disputes, stolen property reports, identity theft, fraud, and peace disturbances. In one notable case, a man allegedly threatened to burn a family member’s home in a social media post.  He remains at large.
