The 2019 Storm Spotter class was held in Chillicothe Thursday, the program drew about 90 people, including several Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. Meteorologist Ryan Cutter says despite the recent cold weather, the local residents are preparing for severe weather. He says local spotters are their eyes in the community.
Cutter says reports from the spotters and the public help them to issue the proper warnings based on local information.
