Two With Moderate Injuries In Weekend Accidents

Two accidents in the area counties are reported by the Missouri Highway Patrol for the weekend.

Saturday at about 6:55 pm in Chariton County, a 16-year-old girl from Moberly had moderate injuries in an UTV incident.  State Troopers report the girl was a passenger in the on a UTV driven by a 17-year-old Huntsville boy.  They were on Weber Avenue in Salisbury when the passenger door opened while the UTV was moving and the girl fell out.  She was taken to Moberly Regional Medical Center for treatment.

A Chillicothe man had moderate injuries in a single-vehicle crash on US 36, three miles west of Meadville.  State Troopers report the 37-year-old man was westbound at about 1:25 am when he fell asleep, and ran off the left side of the road, and struck a road sign.  The vehicle became airborne and struck the ground in the median.  The man was taken to Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield for treatment of moderate injuries.
