NCMC Receives Opportunity College and University Designation

North Central Missouri College is one of 60 community colleges nationwide to receive the Opportunity College and University (OCU) designation.  The announcement is the result of the new 2025 Carnegie Classifications.

This distinction highlights NCMC’s prioritization of both student access and student success.

NCMC President, Dr. Lenny Klaver, said, “We are proud that our unwavering commitment to student success has been recognized.”

Klaver says the school’s focus on uncommon attention, affordability, and accessibility helps open doors of opportunity in the region and beyond.

The Carnegie Classification serves as a framework for categorizing and recognizing higher education institutions across the country.
