Chillicothe R-II Schools Budget Progress

While schools across the state are waiting for the governor to sign the bills that fund schools, The Chillicothe Superintendent, Dr Dan Wiebers, says he has prepared the budget for the coming school year and talked about his approach to the budget.

Conservative on revenues and liberal on expenditures.

Wiebers says salaries for the district make up a large part of the budget.

About 75-80% of the total budget.

The School Board will meet in a special session on June 30th to finalize the budget for the 2025/26 school year.
