Experience will be one of the assets of the Chillicothe Lady Hornets Soccer team when the season starts later this week. Chillicothe did lose five seniors from the 2018 team that finished 2nd in districts and 2nd in the MEC.
Shannon Grable begins his second year as Varsity Head Coach and says the returning players are loaded with talent.
Grable says the players experience will be a key to success for the 2019 team.
He says St Pius X and Maryville should be in the conference title hunt, and also points to LeBlond and Benton as improving programs.
The season starts Friday at 5:00pm against Sedalia Smith-Cotton. The game has been moved to a home game at Jerry Litton Memorial Stadium due to a wet grass field at Sedalia.
