Chillicothe Police Report For Wednesday and Thursday

Eighty calls for service on Wednesday and sixty-six calls on Thursday were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department.

Wednesday Highlights:

  • Officers investigated a report of child abuse at Walmart involving a woman allegedly hitting and spitting on a young girl.
  • A scam complaint involving fraudulent text messages was reported.
  • Police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Calhoun Street.
  • A driver was arrested for operating a vehicle with a suspended license during a late-night traffic stop.
  • A traffic hazard involving a damaged grate was quickly resolved with the help of the Street Department.

Thursday Highlights:

  • A 16-year-old was escorted home and warned for a curfew violation.
  • Officers are investigating a theft involving missing property from Jennifer Lane.
  • A group of juveniles was warned after throwing cheese at passing vehicles on Calhoun Street.
  • A missing 8-year-old was safely located after a brief search near Youssef Drive.
  • Life Flight was called for a person in crisis who was transported for medical treatment.
  • Multiple traffic stops were made, with warnings and one speeding citation issued.
