Flood Warnings Continue On The Grand River

Flood warnings continue for the Grand River from Pattonsburg to Sumner.

On the Grand River at Pattonsburg moderate flooding continues as the river remains above flood stage of 25 feet.  The river crested at 30.94 feet Thursday.  The reading this morning is 30.57 feet and slowly dropping. The river should fall back below flood stage Saturday.

A flood warning continues for the Grand River at Gallatin as the river continues to rise.  The reading this morning is 30.24 feet and a crest of 31.1 feet is expected today.  Flood Stage is 26 feet and the river should fall back below flood stage Sunday.

At Chillicothe, the river crested at 28.08 feet and began to drop.  The river is expected to rise again to a new crest of 27.7 feet later today. The river should fall back below flood stage of 24 feet late on Sunday.

At Sumner, Moderate flooding is occurring.  Flood State is 26 feet.  The river crested on Thursday at 32.08 feet and has begun to drop. The reading this morning is 31.9 feet.  Flooding at Sumner will continue into Monday.
