Chillicothe Resurfacing Of Washington Street

The Washington Street, US 65, resurfacing has seen a few weather delays, but the project is progressing south towards the downtown area.  MoDOT Area Engineer James Gillespie says they’ve made it to near Simpson Park.

Working on the center lane and then out.

Gillespie says they plan to continue the progress south through the downtown, toward US 36.

The current plan is to continue the resurfacing work to about mid-July.  When complete, they will go back and resurface approaches and interchanges, put in the pavement markings, and signal detection work that is needed.

He says they will NOT be working through the July 4th holiday.
