Lawmakers in Jefferson City are on break with the conclusion of the first half of the 2019 legislative session.
State Senator Denny Hoskins of Warrensburg, whose district includes Chillicothe, says the legislature’s focus has been on public safety.
Hoskins says when lawmakers return to the capitol, there will be just eight weeks to accomplish their goals, including budget work.
Lawmakers return to the state capitol on March 25.
