The Chillicothe Police Department conducted traffic stops, business checks and responded to 112 calls for service on Thursday.
10:01 a.m., Officers responded to Danner Park for a report of property damage. A report was taken and the investigation is ongoing.
12:18 p.m., Officers responded to the 10 block of Washington St. for a report of theft. Officers took a report and the investigation is ongoing.
02:27 p.m., Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Hickory Dr and Morningside Dr. During the stop it was discovered the male driver had an active Livingston County arrest warrant. The male driver was arrested and later taken to the Caldwell County Detention Center.
05:40 p.m., Officers responded to the 200 block of Cowgill St. for a follow-up on an investigation of vehicle theft. Officers detained a juvenile suspect. Officers later recovered the stolen vehicle, which was returned to its owner.
06:34 p.m., Officers took a report of sexual assault at the Chillicothe Police Department. The investigation is ongoing.
09:53 p.m., Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Washington St. and Ryan Ln. During the stop, it was discovered that the male driver had an expired driver’s license. A K9 was called and deployed on the vehicle. A subsequent search revealed drug paraphernalia containing a controlled substance. The male driver was taken to the Caldwell County Detention Center on a 24-hour investigative hold.
