Missouri Drought Monitor

The US Drought Monitor shows less than 10% of Missouri is affected by any form of dry conditions as of July 1st.  There is 7.84% is listed as abnormally dry.  These areas are in the northern half of the state. There is 1.04% that is listed as moderately dry.  That is in the northeast part of the state.

In the local counties, abnormally dry conditions exist in the far southwest corner of Carroll County and the areas where Carroll and Chariton Counties connect.  The remainder of the local counties are showing no drought conditions.

Recent rainfall across the region could bring improvement to the areas listed as abnormally dry.
