Chillicothe Police Report For Tuesday

Nearly 90 calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department on Tuesday.

A 29-year-old man was arrested on West Jackson Street early in the day for an outstanding warrant related to driving while suspended. He was taken to the Caldwell County Detention Center.

In a major incident, police responded to a report of an abandoned baby on Webster Street. The child was found safe, and both a 37-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman were arrested for child abandonment. They remain in custody pending charges.

Officers also handled a verbal disturbance on Morningside Drive, a hit-and-run crash on Graves Street, and a disruptive juvenile on Walnut Street.

Additional calls included a report of a possible illegal burn, a possible wanted person who was not located, and juveniles found after hours at Danner Park—they were informed of park rules and left without issue.
