Sentencing Scheduled In Drug Case

A man who pled guilty to possession of a controlled substance in May will be sentenced in early August.  Thirty-three-year-old Tyler Montana Gibson of Chillicothe was arrested by Chillicothe Police in November of 2023 and charged with possession of a controlled substance and tampering with evidence.  In May, Gibson pleaded guilty to the possession charge, and the prosecution dropped the tampering charge.  The plea deal includes a recommendation by the prosecution of a sentence of 7 years in Prison / 5 years of probation.  This would run consecutively to any other sentences.

Sentencing will be held August 7th in the Livingston County Circuit Court, before Judge Ryan Horsman.
