A man who pled guilty to possession of a controlled substance in May will be sentenced in early August. Thirty-three-year-old Tyler Montana Gibson of Chillicothe was arrested by Chillicothe Police in November of 2023 and charged with possession of a controlled substance and tampering with evidence. In May, Gibson pleaded guilty to the possession charge, and the prosecution dropped the tampering charge. The plea deal includes a recommendation by the prosecution of a sentence of 7 years in Prison / 5 years of probation. This would run consecutively to any other sentences.
Sentencing will be held August 7th in the Livingston County Circuit Court, before Judge Ryan Horsman.
