Two Injured In Daviess County Crashes

Two crashes in Daviess County were investigated by State Troopers over the weekend.

A single vehicle crash on Sunday left a Jamesport man with serious injuries.  State Troopers report the 22-year-old man driving a UTV was on Topper Avenue at 320th Street in Lock Springs when he failed to negotiate a curve and his UTV overturned, and he was ejected.  He was taken to Hedrick Medical Center with serious injuries.  He was not wearing a safety device.

Saturday at about 3:45 pm, a three-vehicle crash left one person injured.  The crash occurred on US 69 in Winston.  Vehicles driven by a 16-year-old boy from Gillman City, a 51-year-old man from Trenton, and a 65-year-old man from Jamesport collided when the Jamesport man failed to stop and ran into the back of the other vehicles that had already stopped to make a left turn. The Gilman City teen had minor injuries and was treated at Cameron Regional Medical Center.
