Public Hearings will be held next week by various taxing authorities to set their proposed 2025 personal property and real estate taxes.
The City of Chillicothe will hold its hearing on Monday ahead of their regular city council meeting. The proposed rate is .8509 per $100 valuation. That includes .6641 for the general fund and .1868 for the park fund.
The Southwest School District Tax Rate Hearing is Monday at 5:45 pm at the school. The proposed rate is 4.4700 per $100 valuation. That will go into the Incidental Fund.
The Livingston County Health Center Tax Rate Hearing will be held Tuesday at Noon at the Health Center. The proposed rate is .3319 per $100 valuation. That is for the general revenue fund.
The Chillicothe R-II School District Tax Rate Hearing will be held Tuesday at 4:45 pm at the district office. The proposed rate is $4.6111 per $100 assessed valuation. That includes $3.5273 for the incidental fund, .9660 for the Debt Service, and .1178 for Capital Projects.
The Livingston County Ambulance Board will have a public hearing Tuesday at 8:00 am at the Fire Station prior to their regular Board meeting. The proposed rate is 0.1958 per $100 assessed valuation.
The public hearing to set the Monroe Township Tax Rate will be Thursday at 6:00 pm at Ludlow City Hall. The proposed rate is .8503 per $100 valuation. That includes .0905 for the general fund, .4225 for the road and bridge fund, and .3373 for the added road fund.
