The Trenton City Council will hold its next regular meeting on Monday, August 25th, at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall.
On the agenda is a public hearing to set the city’s tax levy, along with a resolution supporting financing for the rehabilitation of 40 units of affordable housing at the Grand River Apartments. Council will also consider two ordinances — one to set the 2025 property tax levy rate, and another approving a proposal with Irvinbilt Constructors for improvements to the city’s water treatment plant.
Other items under new business include approval of a concrete bid for the salt shed, discussion of unpaid lodging tax and funding for Convention and Visitors Bureau signage, the purchase of a lime feeder, and consideration of an old electric service truck. The council is also expected to address the appointment of a new city clerk and discuss the city administrator position.
The meeting is open to the public.
