The deadline for filing your state and federal income tax return is Monday, April 15th. IRS Spokesman Michael Devine says you still have time to file, but if you don’t think you can file your taxes by the deadline, you need to file an extension.
Devine says if you have completed your return and find you owe, make sure you have your payment in on time.
Devine says if you already completed your tax return and are waiting to mail or send it, make sure you have a reminder so you do not miss the deadline Monday.
