The Chillicothe Fire Department made two runs on Friday.

At about 2:42 pm, Chillciothe firefighters responded to a convenience store on Business 36 for a truck on fire.  The Truck was away from the buildings, and flames were showing when they arrived.  About 600 gallons of water was used to extinguish the fire.  The crew was on the scene for about 20 minutes.  No injuries were reported.

At about 5:30 pm, the call was to 10347 LIV 243 for an odor investigation.  They arrived in six minutes and were told there was a gas leak at a neighboring property.  A hissing noise was noted, and the fire crew contacted the gas utility.  They were told the owner had been using a dozer on the property.

The utility arrived to make repairs.  The fire department was on the scene for just over two hours.
