State Troopers in the area counties report one arrest and one injury accident Thursday.
A 77-year-old Hamilton man had minor injuries in a single-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon near Hamilton. State Troopers report Ronnie Puckett was northbound on Highway 13, a mile south of Hamilton when he lost control of his vehicle and ran off the road, striking a driveway. Puckett was wearing a safety belt and had minor injuries. He refused treatment at the scene.
A Dawn resident was arrested by state troopers in Caldwell County Thursday. At about 2:45 pm, 50-year-old Rodney Cranor of Dawn was arrested on a Mercer County warrant for alleged failure to appear on a charge of forgery of checks. Cranor was held at the Caldwell County Detention Center pending the posting of bond.
